What about changing commands depending on where you are?

MMC MUSIC > MMC PLAY? plays music
MMC VIDEO > MMC PLAY plays dvd/video


or even cooler, what about?

MMC> MUSIC, PLAY, NEXT, VOLUME 50% <THANKS

that would make it easier... you can also add a timeout of say 5 - 10 seconds of inactivity to close the stream (even if a THANKS wasnt said, it will no longer listen)

also make the word "MMC" configurable, and the other text configurable so we can add other languages!


On another note: have you thought about merging video and DVD??? It seems to make more sense at least IMHO... I rarely watch dvd's, and to me they are videos! ehheehe, so I think it makes sense to have autoplay dvds, and if not go into Video, and select DVD

More question: will there be a phone integration?

Just amazing!

Not as featured as CF/frodo, Skin needs work, GPS has to evolve etc, BUT: amazingly fast and easy to use! Stable too!
This is the first front-end that works so fast and plays visuals so smooth on my mII 12k.

2 little bugs:

-when you change the big visual (by clicking the hybrid logo) and change the volume, the popup stays on the screen instead of fading away (volume level, which i LOVE btw, those popups when you tap something)

-when viewing pictures, if the pic is too big, proportions are not constrained (my girlfriend doesn't look all that nice like that, so change her -- erm, the picmode quickly )

I'm quite liking this, espec some of the visualisations, couple of bugs/ niggles, as I type this, the volume window that opens up when you raise/ lower the vol is on top of all other windows, shouldnt this go away after you have adjusted the vol? Also mmc seems to hang when I cycle the list type through to playlists, possibly cos I don't have any...

Here is the latest revision. You know the drill... uninstall and reinstall. Make sure to delete all remaining files after uninstalling the old version.

This version has the speech engine in the installer, which is why it is almost 50MB. If some of you would like a split download without speech engine, let me know and I can post a smaller install without speech.

"MMC MUSIC" Music Screen
"MMC PLAY" Play the current selected song
"MMC NEXT" Next song in list
"MMC PREVIOUS" Previous song in list
"MMC VISUAL" Toggle visuals
"MMC LOAD [SONGNAME]" MMC will try to load the closest song
"MMC REPEAT" Toggle Repeat
"MMC SHUFFLE" Toggle Shuffle
"MMC VOLUME [AMOUNT IN INCREMENTS OF 10, i.e. 'MMC VOLUME 20']" Volume Level
"MMC EQ" Equalizer
"MMC LIST" Switch List Mode
"MMC SWITCH VISUAL" Switch visual
"MMC SWITCH MINI VISUAL" Switch the mini visual
"MMC LAST" Repeat Last Command
"MMC JOG 30 SECONDS" Advance song 30 seconds
"MMC JOG 1 MINUTE" Advance song 1 minute

I will be adding more commands. This version fixes a lot of bugs. I need every screen tested. Those with web cams, once MMC is loaded go to the camera screen. Those of you with Destinator installed, go to the GPS screen and see if you are gettign maps and GPS tracking. DVD, video, etc. DVD should auto play.
