Great! Finally I will look into the database issue with a lot of songs. Is there something in the log file that stated why it crashed on the 11000 songs possibly? Or could you do it again and see if there is a message when you get time?

This is coming along really nicely! I cant wait for a new skin for it and the phone feature+gps (internal or MM)+browser feature...

Will you be able to integrate phonecontrol instead of merely embedding it? I think it would be OK to embed some apps, but phoco gives you the ability of integrating it which allows you to answer calls, send texts, see new sms, everything from within the frontend... I would prefer that phone be integrated as opposed to merely embedded...

Also what is your plan for GPS for the mac? Have you been able to use DestDll.dll with wine? I was reading up on it and apparently there are ways of using this type of stuff on the mac platform with wine??? If it works well on my PC I will probably become a MMC-only user and get a minimac, which is amazing as a form factor for a carpc... but then again it will be in the not-so-near future (by then you shoudl have all featres working on the mac! ehhehe)

So basically my priorities of implementation in order of preference:

Integrate Phone Control - with phone indicator on everyscreen with signal/new sms/etc
Integrated browser
External applications with minimize feature+osk+more than one app at a time loaded+loading apps from main menu through skin.
(the above would allow MM to be used instead of embedded gps, although i might ditch embedded gps if integrated works well...)

The status log was the same as last night (NZ time). It stopped when loading the media files into the list.

Found a small bug.
Start -> All Programs -> Mobile Media Center -> Mobile Media Center Beta 1 Rev 3

I never installed Rev 3.

i know it's not original i was just monkeying around with the skins. used a skin from someone else on this site with your base graphics....but i AM coming up with a complete original if i can stay awake....this thing rocks.

bitaholic, you might want to try with many mp3s by copying your mp3 folder a few times... for example:

if you keep your mp3s in c:\mp3\, copy all of these files into c:\mp3\mp3a\ then copy the mp3a directory to c:\mp3b, and so forth.. that way u will be loading more files... its stupid but its a way of emulating more files than u actually have

Those speech commands are pretty cool. I'm only testing this with a computer headset. I don't suppose it's possible to hook up an omni-directional mic in the car and have MMC be able to pick out my voice with the music cranked in the background?

Actually, that is the way I have been testing it! It works great, you really should try it out your self and let me know your thoughts.
