Ok, just so you can eliminate the possibility, I uninstalled rev 5, deleted the directory, and reinstalled it leaving the origanol Default.xml in place.

Both bugs are still present. As far as the exit issue, to be more specific on it. I started MMC, went into video mode, started to play any video, then went back to home. i can still here the sound from the vide, which imo is a nice feature! And then, when i click exit and confirm yes on the dialog does this error come about.

Also, forgot to ask, what kind of time frame we looking at for an implementation of saving the playlist/currently played song? (if ever) preferably something that updates on the fly and not just on exit.
we are aware of the bugs in this Rev, you will get a patch to fix all the issues tomarrow.... I have a 6hr road trip ahead of me tonite, so as soon as I return I will fix these problems ... I appologize

as far as saving its current state... the code is already done, and will be included in an upcoming build... probably sunday night, as I need to have it implemented on monday for a client of ours.

the lastest revisions have fixed the problem with crashing i was experiencing so i thought i'd give you some feedback, the app seams clean and fast which is good but its fairly useless to me because of the way my music is organised.

my music is in 5 genre folders within each folder is a whole lot of loose files and more folders containing albums, almost all the albums are compilations which are mixed together between songs, ripped in ogg to be gappless

for a start the player dosent play back gaplessly, the only players i have used so far that play back truly gapless are foobar and winamp (with the correct plugin and only in gapless formats such as ogg). Additionally the files aren't in the correct order, which i find pretty important for a mixed cd.

What i do currently is have a playlists folder (full of m3u's of albums and play all for a given genre) and set the "music library" of my frontend (mediacar/roadrunner) to this folder, therefore i am always loading playlists from the library rather than the files, so i always get the correct order. MMC doesnt seem to like m3u files.

This post is basically a feature request as well as asking for a reccomendation, is there any better way of doing this rather than having to update and create playlist files all the time? perhaps the frontend could read the track number in the ogg file?

Bitoholic: did you think about my idea for speech?

Instead of having <MAGICWORD> <COMMAND> <MAGICWORD><COMMAND> evferytime having to repeat the word MMC (), would it be opssible to do a word that makes it start listening to the shorter commands?

    Like:

    - MMC
    *reply: "listening"
    - PLAY BARRY WHITE (just an example)
    *reply beep (optional)
    - JOG 30
    *reply beep (optional)
    - VOLUME 50
    *reply beep (optional)
    - OKAY
    *reply double beep (optional)

It doesnt need specific testing as he is using the Destinator platform... the maps/route calculation/etc is the same *** all other systems that use this (Map Monkey, Freedrive, Centrafuse)

Bitoholic, are you going to abandon the integrated destinator? I'd favor integrated phone, but integrated destinator is nicer than embedded...
