    MMC update

Hello again, we posted an update on our last thread but looking at the server stats i dont think anyone is seeing it....(buried somewhere in the thread) so I thought id post a new one with the link again.

You HAVE to download the alpha first and install it if this is your first time using our software, this is just an update to the existing install
    alpha ver2 is available here:
    www.hybrid-mobile.com/mp3car

    Update is available here:
    http://www.hybrid-mobile.com/mp3car/...ediaCenter.zip
    userID: mp3car
    Pass: user123

I have tried to get us a sub forum like the other software, but i am not getting a response from ziploc, I think it would help us organize our efforts and allow the user to access updates and bug reports quicker. as well as info on new releases and plugin support.

can anyone help persuade him to do this?

anyways, I hope you all are enjoying our app....we are working towards an Alpha ver 3 in two weeks, possibly a Beta version. I am currently in negotiation with navteq for our GPS solution, we are contemplating one of two options, use third party software with sdk support...or build it from the ground up using navteq maps. Copilot is a nice piece of software and they will work with us on the sdk...but looks like an expensive alternative for the end user. any suggestions are very appreciated.

Another dilema is the FM tuner...does anyone know of a FM tuner (USB, not TV/FM just FM) that has sdk support and is still in production....we have been in talks with avermedia and there product the M800, but it is only available in Europe...and is difficult for us to get in the states.

I dont know if you have noticed it or not but you can "grab" the song title in the now playing bar and slide it....just a feature we added in case it was past the view point on a scroll and you wanted to see what the song title was if you were using visuals....

As for the GPS go copilot all the way baby!

Alot of people incuding me are using the RadioXtreme for the FM radio. Although some have posted negative things like poor reception. I for 1 am experincing not-up-to-par with the head unit radio but i ordered a inline signal amp.... i am hoping that this helps out. There are only 2 stations that i am really trying to get

Anyways i am glad to see how active you guys are on this. Keep up the good work and Ziplock please add a sub forum...these guys have proved their value

    Cheers

It seems like this software is heading towards commercial release. Its one thing to donate bandwidth to people like frodo for putting a free version on the market and another thing altogether to subsidize a commercial entity.

    Can't say I blame them.

I think this was discussed when the software first came out. As far as I know this was going to be free to mp3car members although I don't speak for them.
Keep up the good work Hybrid people!

As I live in Europe I don't think that Copilot is the way to go.
But that's just me. I would like destinator integrated.
But I understand if you choose Copilot.
If you do that, you could help Confused to integrate his externaldest into MMC.

I thought that there was a Europe version of copilot... Not sure about that though. I would also prefer Routis, as Copilot Live is a bit expensive for me without getting a "Test Copy" to see if I like it
