I'd like to see a single menu structure: At the moment, there is typically a menu button in the bottom left, and another menu button in the bottom right - it would be nice if they could be all in together.

Secondly - I'd echo my request for there to be a single row of buttons on the bottom of the screen - so the Destinator buttons are on the same row as say the volume buttons.

Thirdly - the blue/purple bar that appears across the bottom of MM/D3 - the one that has the satellite signal strength at the right hand end - can that bar be supressed, and the signal strength meter be shown as a small graphic overlay in one of the corners? It's so small so as to be practically useless where it is.

Four: The compass rose in the top right is hopeless at it's current size when you're driving the car (I configure for my direction being straight up, rather than north being straight up). Maybe a changed graphic to indicate north (a bigger single arrow for example).

Finally, can it be set up so that the buttons that appear at the bottom of the screen for Destinator are user configurable? For example, I never use the Q/S button, so I'd like to be able to hide it.

I figure that most of this can be done by clever skinning, but I'm still not all that savvy with building skins :-(

Download SAPI from Microsoft and install it. Check out the readme.rtf for commands...

Great feedback, thanks! I already have the screen items supressed, incuding the bottom GPS strength bar. Everything you requested can be done and I will use as a template to build from, they are very good ideas.

I would like to hear other users comments as well...

I don't know. I really have two things.

First, make it easy to just look for a Destination based on favorites so i don't have to hop thru menu's. Secondly, since you mentioned you'll be redesigning it all, can you make it that any dialog that has something to write has a keyboard automatically like iGuidance. Cause some integrations make it impossible right now to for example, save a destination with no keyboard.

Now, for the real gulp. I myself, along with others (I'm sure of that) will probably find your effort into seemlessly integrating D3 useless, and this won't be from your lack of effort. This is because the Routing Algorithm is at best hiddeous. I can legitamently say the occasion after occasion, the Routes D3 produces are hilarious. If you can imagine and X,y plane and my destination at 0,0 and my current location at 0,12. D3 will end up routing my thru 0,-12 before gettig to 0,0. Its really that bad, therefore i myself can't use it.

Anyways, thats a lot said. so, here's my proposal, if you are unable to work with the makers of Destinator to help modify or to get access to a new better routing algorithm for you to consider integrating the next best option. Imo, that would be iGuidance. by integration i mean disabling of the warning screen and creating a a semi custom interface. i guess such buttons should be possible by making calls to the iguidance exe, but not sure if thats all possible with the way its programmed.

Anyways, let me what you think of my idea? I'm just saying this cause I don't want to see you put work into something thats not all that great.

ogg and flac are gapless, there is info in the file where the music really ends (theres always going to be a tiny bit of the last frame empty). As long as that works i'm happy

Is there any way possible for MMC to save the list view?
For example it always start with 'All music' as the default view. I like to use the '
Browse' view is there anyway it can remember what view you use.

ive been playing with it and Ive seent this twice switching songs or turning up the volume, the block that apears with the song info or the volume info refuses to go away, it has only happened twice, and I have to reset the eq levels everytime i restart the program.
