Was the XM screen the only really bad/slow area?

I will be adding an option for this in the config. i will add the "restate..." phrase and the indicator sounds for waiting, etc.

    [FRONTEND] MMC Bugs

Please refer to the bug tracking sub-forum. I am trying to get things organized so they do not get out of hand. Read what Derek has to say and try to be as detailed and helpful as possible.

Those of you that know of a bug that still exists please post them with log and/or screen shots. Check to see if someone has the exact same bug or result as you first before posting though.

    Thanks!

Ben, H-M Guys, Sorry I Been out for a while, haven't been able to help you guys out much with all the BS I been going through, and on top of it, I am now gettin over being sick.

I should be getting a new screen soon, so I can get back to work. So far soo good, I knew these CentraFuse people would be commin back to MMC But NOOOO, They dont listen to me!

Anyways, lookin good. I gotta get back onto building my LCARS skin. Get me destinator integration man! Can't wait to play with this.

Of course we'd be coming back, how can you let such a great piece of software left unused? Though, you gotta admit, Centrafuse + MMC would be the ultimate, because there are features that either or has but the other does, but not all together in one package.

How does MMC handle playing the songs? Does it put the whole song into memory and play it or does it read it as it goes? To maintain HD life I think it would be better to place the whole song in memory. Maybe even place a whole playlist in memory (or at least 75 megs or so, user changeable). My last hard drive was a normal 3.5 inch and it ended up dying in the car environment. I have a laptop HD now which is supposed to be rated for a lot higher G's and built in crash protection. But I'd still hate to lose another HD.

MMC reads audio formats just like everyone else, streaming. however we are doing our own independent decoding of the bitstreams to allow for faster read times.... ive been using a 2.5" drive now for over a year and a half (running MMC of course) and no problems. neither from shock extended use nor from extreme conditions. I am in florida, so my biggest problem is heat, and those damn intel chips draw alot of it. the mac mini will hopefully solve all problems
