    This is far superior than Mediacar and Frodo and its only Alpha. Frodo and Mediacar are nice for the skinning (an option that is a must) but the speed pales in comparison.

    Nice visual too!

    Skin it to look like

    and we'd have a winner.

    good work.

    Our goal for FM module is the following:

    * Deprecated D-Link FM
    * Any TV/FM tuner with Windows WDM drivers that support DirectX.
    (I believe RadioExtreme falls under this, if not then we will get the SDK
    from them and get it working )

    Any others that are requested will be worked on as fast as we can get them done.

    Thanks

    Thank you very much for the comments. I do have to admit at this time though that Frodo is much better and navigating music. We are working on this issue though and hope to have a better interface for that soon. It is hard to get something as nice as Frodo, ME, and MC. I am trying to live up to their standards the best I can.

    Thanks again.

    I will go with Mobile Media Center regardless. It is so smooth running and makes use of the .Net framework which is so much of a leap from the huge overhead VB6 (which i think Frodo amd MC are developed with).

    This app could very well become the new standard.

    I ordered a LCD touchscreen just so I can use this software.

    I am anxious to see how this expands into a full product.

    It may not be my place to say, as I am still a n00b, but you're doing a damn good job at it!

    The things that need to be done to catch up to the other fronts are icing on the cake. And (I'm sure you know this) you have a really good cake.

    The scrolling media title that runs across the top during playback, let the be customizable to include whatever parts of the tag the user wants.

    Add something to grab and drag on the scroll bars.

    Little things like that.

    The problem with a good Alpha is that it leaves too many people drooling for a beta... and the beta leaves us clawing for a first release.

    Wow

    Thanks a ton guys for the nice comments. Makes me feel good about all the time I have gave up for this project. I will keep working my arse off to make this system more flexible on the skinning front and plug-in front. I want others to start adding to the system with there own additions in time.

    As far as the request go, we will definitely be adding the new ones we see here to our already huge list. I will work hard at getting them in the system as fast as my fingers can code it

    The feedback has been great. I am very happy to see people using the system and enjoying it. Please keep us posted on more requests, bugs, etc. If you hate the system, tell us why so we can make it better.

    We like to hear comments on MMC, even if it is negative. It will just make us work harder at making it better.

    Thank you again. I do not know what to say except for thank you for using it.

    Why do I get this error message every time I try to play a song or video.
    It say " An unhadled exception has occured in yourb application......
    ..... Specified argumnet was out of range of valid values.
    Parameter name: handle

    I tried uninstalling and installing but still the same error.
    I'm running Windows XP home with DirectX 9.0

    These are the details of the error message.

    See the end of this message for details on invoking

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
    application or machine (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
    rather than being handled by this dialog.

    Just a thought.

    Did you edit the MobleMediaCenter xml file?

    <add key="mediaFolder" value="d:\mp3" />

    Then delete Media.xml file so It can be recreated.

    I know I was throwing errors all over the place before this.

    Besides the funcationality not being finished, this a very good for an Alpha release.

    Speaking of the xml file. I noticed I have to delete it (so it can be recreated) everytime I alter the contents of my media folder.

    Speed

    Is it just me or is the "click to play" time for various songs faster with MMC than anything else around? I might use it on my desktop as a no-frills media player because its so fast.
