Check for files with odd names or files that are 0 kb in size. I had an incomplete download that was 0 kb and MMC didnt like that at all.
When I start MMC i notice it changes my system Wave Volume to whatever MMC's volume is set at. I think it would be better if MMC's volume started at whatever the system Wave was at. Just my opinion.
it actually starts off at 20% wav volume, we will toy around with changing it and see how that works....glad to see everyone likes it....new update very soon....patience

Hey HybridMike can you help me out on this. See post #160 for details
I agree. I don't like it how it starts out at 20% each time.Originally Posted by EBFoxbat

AMD XP 2600+/512MB RAM/120GB hard drive
Opus 150W/DVD/GPS/7" Lilliput TS/802.11g/Bluetooth
Installed.
-GPSSecure- - GPS Tracking
-AltTabber2.2.2- - Handy touchscreen utility.
Ok, I installed the patch and I've got it working now.
I did notice an issue with the volume control with my nforceII board. The problem that I experience is anything over 50% volume and it's full of distortion. When I look at the nvidia nxmixer, the VU meters are clipping to hell. As soon as I touch the Wave volume control it goes back to a respectful level. But when I go back to MMC and click the volume up or down a notch, it's distorting again. It's like the volume control in MMC is bipassing the windows mixer settings somehow. They are fighting for control.
The way I think it should work is the MMC volume control should be independant from the windows mixer. That way you can be fine tune the final output from windows. Either that or add an internal master volume setting from a setup page.
That's about the best I can explain it. Maybe it's just an nvidia thing. (I'll be using an EPIA board when it arives)
now you have installed the latest update correct? you also need to copy over the default.xml from the membranes folder as well as the entire contents of the membrane folder...if this has been done can you post a copy of your mediacenter config file text as well as the text that appears in your media.xml file this might help us narrow it down...also the error log will help too if you are using the latest updateI only have 2 mp3 files with very short names in my media folder. I don't think that is it.
