I dont wish to be negative because i'm glad you guys are working on this, but I see this as still in the catch up phase with the other players out there developed by single people, not paid programmers. I keep waiting for something other than the basic mp3/
video player, but so far have been very dissapointed. I found the GUI workable with small sets of songs, but I just couldn't get to grips with it for large song lists. The 'hold a button down for a long time' is a major UI dont-do. UI designers have long strived to make interfaces exploratory, meaning if you play with it you can discover for yourself the features and functions. Its not considered intuitive to hold something for a period of time and expect something to happen. The
hardware headunit guys only do this sometimes because they dont have the luxury of a full featured screen to interact with the user. I abandoned the MMC after it didnt offer incremental db updates and takes over half and hour to build the database. You have to do that in the background *after* the app starts....
So when will we see some innovation? Something beyond the ability to play
music and
videos (dvds etc)?
I dont like being negative, but you are a company right, not a guy with a pc sitting there doing it for the fun and praise of peers, like Frodo et al, so I hope this is received in the contructive spirit it is written.
The BMW + iPod (

bluetooth cellphone integration is innovation...
