I will be releasing Alpha Release 3 later today (afternoon - evening). XM and FM is not making the cut. XM code is all done just have to make the screens. FM code is still being tested with various models.

This release has performance tweaks. OSK for song searching. Better browsing memory between list modes. A lot of bug fixes. When starting up you are now asked for your media folder and there is now a visual indicator that your song database is being built (both long over due... I know!)

Does the "Program" botton should work in the actual release? In my opinion the feature to launch external software (with the option yo embed them in the MMC and with the option to lunch them with command line options) should be a very high priority. This for example will let us start a gps software in the meanwhile you are coding your gps application.

I think carputer have reached an high level to require a stable and not experimental sofware with support service and updates. I'm ready to pay for this. Me and Mc are both good software but both has been closed (?) in an early stage of develepment, without publishing source code to be completed and updated from the comunity.
It's the time for a complete, stable, updated and fully functional software, and i think such a software have to be payed to support development and updates.
Will MMC be the software i'm hoping to?

Is Alpha 3 going to get it's own thread to keep it clean? I think it should. I'm eager.

yes, I will start a whole new thread for alpha 3....ive been testing it today, just have a few tweaks but will be up shortly...

one thing you should all be prepared for is to uninstall your current version of .net 2.0 .....the new install will have a beta release of 2.0 (much faster now) but microsoft wants you to uninstall the alpha .net prior to installing the updated beta version 2.0. you can also delete your MMC folder as it will install a new one, you will not have to change the config file this time, it is automatic and will ask for your media folder.....

Go to add/remove programs and uninstall it

LOL yeah i know, thats done, but u know alphas and betas can be picky... i didn't know if I had to wait until it was the scond full moon of the month or something.
