Hybrid,

I would like you guys to test these radios in a real world situation (in the car). all the usb radios that i have noted have crappy reception in the car. Do these have external antennas and how would you connect then to the car's stock antenna?

I will test the hell out of them, im not going to put a crappy fm tuner with our product, these do have an external antenna and could easily be adapted to the oem antenna....I will keep you updated

I really think with everyone's input this product will be great. I really love the fact that it's not a winamp cover and uses his OWN things to pllay music/dvds.

yes we have done alot of work to get us here, we do all our own decoding and have pending contracts with thomson, mpeg and dolby for proper licensing of the intellictual property that they own, one of the reason why most people make a "wrapper" that uses other programs to decode.

we are loving the support, cant wait to see a sub forum....I hope it happens

unless you start searching from the very top of the list, the keyboard search feature does not work correctly i.e.
- click artist
- bring up the keyboard search feature
- type "b", "e"....results in a listing of artists including "ben folds", "ben lee" "beatles" and about 6 others (good).

- click artist again to get the whole list back.
- scroll down a few lines (to say the middle of the "a" artists)
- bring up the keyboard
- type "b", "e"...results in a list of only SOME (1 or 2) of the "be" artists. (bad)

I can't pinpoint the problem any better than that sorry.

Maybe its only my problem, and not sure if this was mentioned before but:

1)
When i play a video file > exit to main menu > *file still playing* > go back into "music" > results in black screen with no video. > Quick click to minimize the buttons restores the video and everything returns to normal.

2) Doesnt seem to memorize the last used vis? have to scroll through all of them every time.

3) Cant exit keyboard through esc key.

-- Overall great software! I dont get the video lag with new version and everything is running very smoothly. Few suggestions though:

- Any chances of changing the font on song display? It looks to big for it's weight. Either make it bold face or try a different one?

- I would still love to see a progress bar for both video and audio. While you have the FF functionality.. Scrolling through 50 minutes of video would still be a pain.. Agreed? Same as techno/dnb/etc mixes which usually come in 60 minute cd's as a single track. I just cant see myself sitting there holding the key. I know approximately where the section i want to listen to is on the cd, so i just jump right to it with a nav bar.

Are these usb radios still in production? There is no mention on Avermedia's site.

hehe.....ill give you the link.... We are working a deal to carry them too, but I want to test it thouroghly first....seems to work really good though, we have an SDK for it as well....

How about a status page for development on your website? You could password protect it just fot mp3car It'd be a bit easier to update I think and u could update it often

How about making it so that when your in Vis mode, and you switch to the next or previous song, instead of it saying NEXT or PREV, it says the name and artist of song....

like..
