(FYI: 35 minutes to build database).

-Video: Give it its own button on the HOME screen. Perhaps allow us to organize your movies into appropriate folders for Music Videos, DVD Rips, PORN (<- saw someone mention that earlier). Almost like a GENRE's tab but this will be for videos. The only way that I think it can be done easily is to have the seperated into appropriate folders.

-Genre: Browse Genre --> Artist, Album, and/or Title (for organization)

I have 12,000 songs and that took 12 minutes. What kind of CPU do you have?

Yeah. I wanted to post a link to where I saw that posted but I don't remember which forum and where I saw it. Oh, well.

Summary: Don't play porn in your car or you can go to jail for 30 days like some poor guy did.

Atleast make sure your windows are tinted...

An Athlon XP 2500+. This was also over a networked drive. My laptop is on 802.11g and my server is one 10/100. The network operates a LOT slower than IDE. If it took you 12 minutes, then I'm not gonna complain. The folder that I designated has 19,104 files, 1,087 folders, and is 74GB in size. My MEDIA.XML is roughly 6.5Megs in size compared to the 15KB when it only loaded the stuff on my laptop.

He is running over wireless which I assume is 54Mbps... with +15000 songs. That is right on with our bench marks here...

802.11B took forever. I am working on threaded dynamic updates. So that the app just loads and the DB is built in the background over time... mobileh1 suggested this awhile back and this is the way it should be done. Your list would expand over time as it catalogs the music/videos.
