Since it's still in the Alpha stages there is a lot more in the works. Will call for more screenshots as more features come into play.

Can the filenames when browsing scroll? Maybe all of them scroll together left to right to compensate for long filenames (Artist - Album - Track# - Title can make for some long filenames).

Use of the Volume Normalization tag. The only player that I know that uses it is Media Monkey. This will prevent volume jumps between different songs/albums.

Scroll more information at the top (selectable). Instead of just Song Title and Time, allow me to choose what I want it to show such as Artist, Album, Track #, Title, Year, Bit rate, Size (basically allow me to choose from any ID3v2 tags). And allow us to set the separator (, - <space> : ,etc). So if I really want it to scroll the following I can: Artist - Album - Track # - Title - Year - Bit rate - Size, blah blah blah.

Mute or attenuator This would be better than holding the volume button to lower it. Mute/ATT is very useful when you see a cop coming down the road (I speak from experience). (Allow us to set the ATT percentage. 10% may not be enough for one person but too much for another.)

Take the Spectrum Analyzer off the Vis.[ There’s one or two vis that don't work properly. I think they are part of the Spec Anny in the top right corner. If it would go full screen like in the right hand corner than that would kick ***.

Automatically go to Full screen Vis after X-minutes of not doing anything. (ie. playing an album or play list). Say after 5 minutes unless the user 'clicks' something but only while they are in the Music area. This way GPS or other tool won't be affected.

Video: Give it its own button on the HOME screen. Perhaps allow us to organize your movies into appropriate folders for Music Videos, DVD Rips, PORN (<- saw someone mention that earlier). Almost like a Genre’s tab but this will be for videos. The only way that I think it can be done easily is to have the separated into appropriate folders.

Just a quick status update for all of you waiting for the last alpha release. I have been working very hard on this release. I want it to be a huge leap forward. It will have XM support. A nice new screen layout for the Radio screen has been completed and we will need feedback on it.
If you look under the Plug-in/Requests thread, Mike posted a relpy showing what features will make what release. Alph Release 5 will have a lot of things you all have been requesting for awhile. There are now two media folders. One for audio and one for video. Ogg is fixed and working very well now. Monkey Audio and Flac is being tested a lot and is going to be included.

Most of the request that need more information are all from me:
Pretty much they way I would like to see it, when I hit Songs I see all my songs (which is cool). But if I'm looking for a song that begins with the letter 'R' then it's going to take a while to get to it. A grabbale scroll bar would help but what I'm thinking is this:Quote:

Right now when you go into browse folders, the files in the folder are shown alphabetically. That means that they will not play in track order but instead alphabetical order. So I think MMC should read that track tags and show the files in that order.Quote:

Does this mean that playlists will be able to be made 'on the fly'. These are really two different things but accomplish the same effect. Playlists allow us to have a file that says what will be played. Queued allows me to pick the next songs (and videos) without having to create a specific playlist. Perhaps single click will add to the queue and double click will force playing now. And the ability to save the current mix to a file for later playing would be nice. Yeah, that would all work.Quote:

I think you should give up on a MMC and just build your own OS. It'd be easier to intigrate stuff ;)
