    MMC re-search new songs?

How do I get MMC do search or do a "re"- search for new songs?
I've deleted some duplicate songs from "my music" folder, but they still show up in MMC. So how do I fix this?
Also, I can't seem to get the pause/play buttons to work.
I've searched threads...but found nothing on this...

go to the main mmc folder and delete the media.xml file it will rebuild your database and update.....

sorry about the crude way of doing it, but for now in the alpha stages that is how you will have to do it.

ps... the play and pause should work fine...make sure you are using the latest update....if you scroll down on the download page you will see the latest public release there is...however we are planing a release of Alpha 5 by this weekend...it will be leaps and bounds beyond Alpha 4....

    System Reqs

I am looking into building a car computer, and have a machine ready to test. However, I am wondering what I will need software-wise to get this up and running.

What are the system requirements for this app to run? I am more concerned with software requirements, but hardware may be beneficial for others.

Will it run on Win 98/ME?
Will it run on Windows 2000?

What other software is required for certain features? Mappoint 2004, etc...

What minimum hardware do you recommend?

    Thanks
    Cyque

Remember we are on the Alpha stages, so new features are being added as we release...
    as far as software requirements....none
well .net 2.0 is included in the installer and that is the only thing you need

hardware: we tested on a 1.2ghz celeron w/ 128mb ram so I would be safe to say that is the minimum requirements....however most people on this site use the epia m10000 which is 1ghz so it must work on those as well

as far as I know it works on 98 and 2000 / xp home and xp pro ...will soon run on mac and linux

I have a laptop with a 500 mhz processor and 512mb of memory. Everything runs fine under xp pro and I'm looking forward to the next alpha.

This would actually require some hardware work as well, but I would love to integrate my radar detector into the computer. Escort 8500 and Valentine One would get all the hardcore users. Probably somewhere beyond final release for that heh. But I thought I would throw the idea out there, BMW's integrate with the 8500 somehow.

funny you would mention that, I have a working prototype for just such an application

I would like to have some basic controls while the visualizer is full screen. Instead of going back to the playlist when you tap the touchscreen, I would like to be able to have virtual buttons behind the visualizer that I can assign things to (like pause, skip, mute, volume, etc). 5 (4 corners, plus the center) or 7 (3 top, 3 bottom, plus center) regions would be good for most of us with 7" widescreens. e.g. with the 5 zone setup , I could assign volume up to the upper right region, volume down to the lower right, skip to the lower left, and pause to the upper left. pressing near the center of the screen goes back to the playlist.

I have some suggestions on playlist management, but I spent my self on a rant in another post.
