I'll second that. I personally would like to have all my windows sounds go over the built in laptop soundcard/speakers, and the media player go over my external sound card, which is amplified and sent out to the car speakers. Most of the media players on this board just use the default sound device. It's not a hugely important feature, but not much to implement (at least coming from a directx standpoint)

I see where you're going and it makes absolute sense. I'm thinking, however, when I have the GPS going and telling me where I need to go, I don't want the other screens showing the GPS. More than likely, I would have music playing and would love the vis playing on the rear screens. Or a movie playing in the back with the GPS in the front. I don't think that is too much of a resource hog but some people may not be able to use such a feature (as you said). For those that could, it would kick ***. I don't necessarily want four different movies playing on four different screens. That would be a resource hog and would probably cause problems with the sound (all soundtracks would be playing as one combine sound. If this could be incorporated then simply make it as an option that can be turned on and off. This way you can attract users with lower- and higher-end computers.
