Any word from the MMC monkeys?
Perhaps I misimagined how mediacar does the embedded applications. Been a long time since I used it.Originally Posted by Laidback

I agree with making Mini Mode bar like format. I'd like it set up so that you could run another app in full screen, but the mini-mode bar is still at the top of the screen and not obstructing anything.

Or how about this...
Make it similar to the start bar in windows when you have the hiding enabled. Have it so that it would place a bar at the top (or wherever) that would have configurable time before hiding and all you would have to do would be to tap or click up top for it to re appear. That way programs like Co-pilot wouldn't need to be resized and you would only have the bar visable when you want to use it. I think you should be able to configure this seperatly per application. So that for copilot (which doesn't like to be resized and even windowed) you can set the hiding feature to true. Other apps that don't mind being resized and windowed you could have the bar unhidden all the time. It needs to be fully skinnable

I am the only one I know that has a tall task bar. It's 2 rows tall and allows me to multitask easier. Perhaps it could be intigrated into a Windows Toolbar. I don't really recommend it, but it's another option...
I have 2 rows but one whole row is of shortcuts.

I am proud, my fellow multi-tasker/shortcut-happy user.Originally Posted by antimatter
If you could make it so the top bar "ie Title bar" would be the mini bar and the application will only use the area available below the mini bar. Perhaps the option to have one or more mini bars could be made available. This way users can chose where they want their bar or have more than one to give them additional features. Again, app would only use the available space.

Just bringing this thread back to life in case I missed something where Alpha 5.0 was released. Did I miss the "Alpha 5.0 Release" thread?
