its actually sucks that it is ready to release...but cant because of no internet connection and no power....im about 2.5hrs from port st lucie or I would go pick it up myself and put it on here (gas stations are out of gas too)....I set up the donations acct because people asked for it....not because I am asking for it...id give you what im using but its only more like a alpha 4.5... my build doesnt have the fm and mini mode, however when he has power/internet it will be here

    @ HybridMike

I was teasing. We all know what you are going through and wish you the best. When you guys are ready and able, that will be soon enough. Take care of what really matters first.

320.4gb here, mostly anime and music videos, it crashes during database build, even if I just select a few music or video files . It won't do 10g of music even for me.

EDIT: There is no specific error message. I'm running XP Pro SP2 final and it jsut brings up an XP crash report form, submits it, then the program closes. I jsut installed .Net - I used the 'beta' version off the MS site, maybe that was it?

The only .net I can find is here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

About half way down, th redistributable download package.

Also - I tried pointing to My Documents, and all my videos and music are in there, no luck, same if I jsut point it to my music, or jsut a specific artist's folder, they all lock the program up. I'm running a 3.2ghz P4 with 1gb ram. Shouldn't be a problem there .

Was alpha 5 ever released? Teh site mentions alpha 3 but that's it. I'm interested in the newest version of this, maybe it will run for me (currently crashes when building media database).

Eidt: Stupid me just noticed this thread ran 4 pages, not jsut 1 . How are things going since the last hurriucane? We've been getting rained on all day from what's left of it in Ohio, but I'm releived it's only rain. Let us know when you have time to get the new one up ^_^.

Am I supposed to install the alph 3 version first, then the alpha 4 one? Maybe that's why it doesn't work. I just downloaded the 2.5mb 4 version and not the 27.2mb alpha 3 one. <trying now>

No luck. The other one wasj sut bigger because it had the .net included, and it was hte same version i had instaleld before. I had .net 1.1 instaleld as well - I removed it and 2.0 beta and instaleld heo ne that came with plha 3 and it dind't make any difference.
