so you put the m2atx the the ''c'' mode....
mine was at that mode before(i try some other modes too)...and when the ignition was at ''on'' it was ok..but when i put the ignition at start...the pc restarted,....
now i am in the recomended mode of the m2atx..and i dont have this problem...but the pc shut down completly after 5 sec

There is no way to protect against the short circuit scenario in the bottom drawing. This illustrates the need for a fuse in line with the P5USB so that if the polarity of the wiring is reversed the P5USB is not damaged. It also illustrates the need for installing the P5USB before connecting it to USB devices.
lol, congratulations sonic you just made it to the top of my list if I need a device blown up, and I don't mean that in a bad way. Finding little use case scenarios like this is really hard. I talked to Stephen about the PM and he'll get back to you.

More than likely you will need 2 cables to power that dvd drive reliably. Most of them come with 2 cables for this reason.
