very nice article. it is nice to see car computers starting to get a little more media attention.
mp3Car forum members Greg Planthaber(profile), Tom Berry(profile), Will Meyer(profile)(blog), and Silvio Fiorito (profile) are highlighted by Peter Wayner in today's NY Times. The article is a follow up to Peter Wayner's visit to the mp3car AFKFest in Baltimore.
For an in-depth tour of Greg's car computer set-up take a look at the video shot at the AFKFest.
If you are new to car computing, watch some videos or read our faq on how to get started.
Will Meyer's video from AFKfest is also here:

I read the article this morning in the Cars section, and the picture of Greg's setup didn't really do any justice. To the general public, it just looks like a navigation headunit and nothing special.
Although, great job to everyone for becoming Times-worthy!
The article wasn't that bad, but I felt the reporter just took the info from the forums and made up a story to make it more attractive. I also think MP3Car should have been mentioned. Free advertising and increase popularity at the same time
just a plebe's .02
My only regret is that they failed to include my comprehensive deconstruction of Dada and an analysis of the motivations behind its self-proclaimed refusal to accept categorization as an art movement.
Oh, and I there were some pictures too.
