XCore Keyboard PC Teardown - CES 2010
There are currently two working prototypes of the XCore Keyboard PC. This pc is will have a retail cost of $100. mp3Car shows that the ribbon cable connects the keyboard to the circuit board. A metal plate acts as an EFI shielding as well as taking the heat form the chips and moving it to the exterior of the keyboard which allows the PC to be fan-less and decreases power consumption. The computer is exposed and the processor is visible. You can see that the computer module is swap-able, so that the pc can be easily upgraded, leaving the rest in place. An internal usb port holds the wifi, a connector for the SATA hard drive, and a connector for your 3G, GSM or CDMA card.
