what I want to know is what company doesnt update their software? I think were on FF 3.5.3. IE is 8. We are even getting ready to jump to Win 7. I am just waiting for things to settle a bit.
So is that why iPhone doesnt have flash? I guess they think the iPhone alone will make everyone choose Quicktime? Thats to funny. When ever a watch a movie and it gives me the option of quick time or flash, I use flash because quicktime always runs like $h!+. Half of the time anything that has to do with quicktime is broken.
I say if it aint broken, dont fix it. Its only iPhone people having issues, lol.

But, you answered your own question.. This is how most companies operate
OP, I think making mp3car mobile friendly is an awesome idea
ie6 and ff2 are major security holes and are not supported software by upstream providers. IMHO, that makes them broken.
I do concur though, some companies have really bad policies when it comes to software updates which makes them vulnerable. It makes me scared just to imagine your bank or something important like that running crap like that.

apple doesn't support flash because that would allow people to get a lot of content for free rather than paying the Apple media toll (aka iTunes).

Yes.
We're talking about phones here trip. Nokia deems the n900 a "mobile computer". I mean the n900 can't even MMS message... this thread is not about mobile computers. Didn't you get the memo?
as a web developer by trade, i cry that IE6 is still the most popular web browser in the world. (it may be IE7 at this point)
We could advance as a species is MS would go away.
Oh, in that case, I retract my previous statement. I thought because my n900 makes phone calls that it could also be considered a phone. But then again, i don't use voice on it. It came with a thing called skype. I think you can even install skype on your desktop computer. MMS? is that like a primitive way of sending media to someone else? Probably doesn't even use the internet to do it does it? I do this weird thing where I long-tap on a media file, click "share", and i get options to send it to a contact via email, bluetooth, or service (ie, facebook, flickr, or ovi).
