I think they should perhaps invest that 1.2Billion on Android or other OS for tiny devices. Also, the slate is not tiny, Win7 is a great platform, it just needs apps.

I say spend 1.2Billion on a machine that can run ALL 300K iPhone apps, that would be an Apple killer. A slate that could do that would be great! Apple is the new IBM. The day people started building IBM clones and running Lotus 1-2-3 and Wordstar was a great day. That's what is needed now. Apple guys are running windows, why can't we run their iPhone apps? I think any tablet could do that, but nobody had devoted enough brain power to do it. 1.2Billion to that would certainly help.

I agree..... Win 7 isnt that bloated. Isnt in line with XP? Maybe even faster? I have never ever liked Palm..... I hate Palm so much Id buy an iPhone over Palm, that right there should show you how much i hate it, lol. So it looks like now we are going to see the phone wars thicken. Everyone seems to be trying to get into it!

LOL, and then some. Maybe give you first dibs on the iBoard since the iPad will most likely cut your hands off and you need super big icons to hit buttons now.

That's the amps hole pattern in the back, you just attach a 1"or 1.5"ball and you can pretty much go with many, many options. I would probably attach a 75mm vesa pattern support on the other side, to match what I already have built on the Sequoia (capable of tilting and rotation with no knobs to turn and lock, see signature).

There's also this option below, which I find a bit confusing:



Not sure how it works, but I don't like anything blocking the windshield that much. It's too high and far away from the driver too, at least it would be in my case.

I figured something like that would be coming down the line, but, as you pointed out, having it block the windshield just sucks on many levels.

Didn't like the in-your-face rivets at all, and at $199.00 it's more expensive than the RAM solution. I don't know, but maybe for rear seats, like on the Maserati depicted here, it will work. Still, it's expensive.

I found this one, which I think it's ugly as hell: Scosche and expensive too.

This other one looks good, specially for the price ($49.00 for the iPad holder plus the base specific to your car, which I reckon must be another $50? Still half of the one I posted above):
