I agree with you. There's nothing really special about the ipad. I'm sure it works as designed though and is probably relatively bug-free as Apple's reputation goes. I guess I'm just arguing semantics with you. I consider the ipad unappealing, but I don't consider it "crap".

I'm pretty sure the iPad can access the singularity. Or if not, at least an event horizon.

Ok, so all this apple talk I decided to jailbreak my iPhone this morning in order to compare a before and after iPhone experience. It seems as though this is the only way to get some good out of the device.

Installed:
Terminal and all the networking commands
xGPS
winterboard
openSSH (connected from filezilla)
chess

Running very stable.

iPhone OS: (output of uname -a)

Darwin Kernel Version 10.0.0d3; Fri Sept 25 23:30:45 PDT 2009; root:xnu-1357.5.30~3/RELEASE_ARM_S5L8900X iPhone1,2 arm N82AP Darwin

Host OS: Vista Ultimate x64

I will touch back to this after using for a few days.

now you need to install mywi to get tethering. And then pro Switcher to get palm pre like multitasking

when you install proswitcher it installes backgrounder since its needed to work. It also installs activator which allows you to assign a bajillion ways to do tons of things.
