^^^awesome, can you post more details? Schematics, etc.?
Edit: by Apple cable, you mean Apple's AV cable? I thought you're using optical out.
Thanks.

I can draw something up. Actually I think it may be on my thread if you look over there.
I'm not using the optical out as there's no reason for it. I have a line in attached to an EQ with volume then out to the amp. You can use the standard radio like I did in my older thread as well. I just haven't updated in a while. Same pricaple though.
i think it's important not to have to do so much work with the emergency button since you emphasize ease of install so much. routing the button to the other side of the car then drilling a hole isn't exactly plug and play imo
While I agree in principle, a car will not pass inspection without a hazard button. The move was REALLY easy to do, and you don't have to drill a hole -- it's already there. So the whole process took me 1/2 an hour, including soldering time. Maybe it would be worthwhile for me to release another little kit that just extends the hazard button? It would just be a pair of 8 screw-terminal blocks with a 4' bundle of 18 gauge cables.
As far as the hole goes, Subaru conveniently has placed 3 blanks on their models. On the STi there are headlight level and IC Spray buttons, leaving 1 open. On the WRX I believe there's just headlight level. I'm not sure on the base Impreza, but I'd assume headlight level only, as well.
For different cars, different solutions are present. Unfortunately here hazard placement was an issue. Many cars have it on the steering column or located adjacent to it (similar to where I moved mine). In those instances, there would be no issue. If you can think of a better place to move it, I'm all ears! Always love new suggestions.
Do we have any news on when this maybe coming out?
September 2nd I get samples. 16 days! Then production can begin w/ approved samples.
I know the schedule looks like it's taking a really, really long time, but it's somewhat standard. Typically, the consumer just isn't involved in the project from idea conception to prototype to testing to quoting to ordering to sampling to production. Normally it hits the wire when production is underway and approved samples are already in hand.
Ah, forgot to update this thread! The "main" thread that I've been relentlessly updating is here:

We're almost at 400 replies and we're over 25,000 views.
Anyway, samples are state side and are at the painters right now. Once they match the paint to my liking, they'll ship me the samples for fit check, once that's approved, production moves forward. Last stages here.
