Interesting product. I am in the planning stage for a new carputer and this is where I am stuck; making the decision on how to do the audio. A cheaper optical input would be great!!

want WHAT to happen exactly? This was not a demoed product or anything, just a 'test board' for their chips.. There doesn't seem to be any indication that this company will be making this product, or anything like it. All they do is make chips.

Seems pretty obvious what he wants to happen: he wants a good, cheap amp that takes optical in.

Whether or not the company is manufacturing said amp, if there was no hope of something like this coming to market via mp3car's store, then I question why it would have been put on the front page in the first place; surely technological breakthroughs and interesting developments that can be loosely related to this hobby happen all the time, why post about this particular one unless you saw that it could be apparently fairly easily manufactured, if I'm to believe what's going on here, and has a pretty straightforward appeal to those of us in this hobby.
