If we could get native iPad apps or even iPad version of iOS running on iPhone, that would be the best. I like overflow, but I would much rather have the iPad iPod app instead.
Custom install I finished: Stock Pontiac G8 head unit(works great!)

Try this. You dont need to connect touchscreen for this test.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
1. Make sure you have "mimics driver" installed from cydia
2. Turn off iPod bluetooth
3. Power on mimics, red light will flash
4. Plug in A/V, VGA or HDMI cable and then you should see the bluetooth icon appear and then a pop-up.
Let me know if you are still having issues![]()
Quad-Core JellyBean headunit... WTF!
MimicsX2 - Whats your flavour ?
It says bluetooth not available. I followed the instruction in the calibrate app and nothing.
To test for pairing you dont need to worry about calibrating just yet.
When does it say "bluetooth not available"? does it say this after you plug in th video cable?
Before connecting the video cable, make sure the mimics RED light is flashing and that the bluetooth icon is off. After connecting the video cable the "mimics driver" will pair and connect the mimics automatically.

MimicsX2 - Whats your flavour ?
Just to verify for you, I have been able to use the following devices with the Mimics module: iPod (2nd gen), iPhone(3G, 4) and the IPad. I was able to connect and control all of them.
So not long after I said it didn't work it worked for a bit then quit. It seems to come and go. I'll turn on the screen, wait for the red light, let it connect and display the bluetooth and ipod icon in the notification area, and it will work every few times or so but usually will stop after a bit. I am not too worried about it, however, because I am waiting on my iPhone 4s. But I am very happy to know it is possible!
My problem, I think, was that my 4-wire ribbon cable was loose. It was in all the way but after a little messing around it seems to work every time. Also, how soon will the "switcher cable" be available?
