Seriously has this thread died? No response to the last question in over a month and a half? Is product support nil now that Iphone 5 is out?

The purpose of the Type "A" switcher is to switch between iOS and headunit mode, so no.. you wont loose any functions.
Yes the original mimics is already compatible with iOS6.1. I have confirmed this 2 days ago now that all the dependencies have been updated. :)
so using a lightning to VGA adapter would be needed for an iphone 5 then I presume?
just have a basic lilliput now with vga and composite connections..
I thought the only way to get audio out of the Iphone 5 would be to go through the headphone jack...
would I need the first gen Mimics or is the X2 the way to go incase i wanna fool around with Android
The first gen mimics is no longer available but is still supported. Audio can be obtained via the dock connector also.
If you have HDMI input we have a HDMI audio box that gives RCA audio and optical output. VGA is not really recommended since you need to hack the adapter to get audio out of the dock connector. We use to pre mod VGA cables, but no longer do it :)
So the new MimicsX2 is the best option if you don't even have the first gen one. :P
so X2 it is...however looks like I'll need to upgrade my screen for an HDMI one...i think i read the response time is a little better with HDMI anyways?
wow! it's still alive!?!?!?!
when???????
i think you'e been asked billion times)!!
