What's the Element 7 screen? And that Lilliput acoustic wave, what a bezel! I found a install with it already:

    Now that's slick looking...

Didn't like the reflections much. And I'd like to see the same video outdoors, even if it's not directly under the sun.

    Thanks for the video.

The element is the screen mentioned in your post here

    http://www.mp3car.com/lcd-display/14...01-36-s-h.html

And yes i will be doing some outside video soon. Only reason it hasn't been done yet is because its been raining here NON STOP since last week.

My very first thought was "Wow thats alot of extensions for Chrome!!"

Video looks pretty good, but its a little hard to tell to much difference in the color and brightness between each. Did you have the camera on manual setting because it looks like it adjusted the white balance to compensate for each screen when it was focused on. Might want to try and turn the off if possible.

Honestly based on that video, I still think the 669 is the best choice, but that is just my opinion. Thanks for the video!

From that video, the element screen clearly looks good, especially for the price. However, let's see how the version with enclosure will cost you. How much is the HDMI lilli again? more than $400?

And yes, a video camera can compensate for a lot of differences, so that's something to look for.

I think a few key points were missed in the video.

The mini700 and the 669 hb Lilli both use the exact same LCD panel, so colors will be the same, as will brightness.
As the narrator mentioned, he did not adjust any setings, but when you trim them out, they will look identical.

One factor that people will want to consider is the 669 does NOT accept native 800x480 res. input. The mini 700 will.

Another point here is the SAW panel vs. Resistive. That's like comparing a Caddy and a Yugo. Much like a Capacitive Touch screen, a SAW touch sensor will allow almost all of the backlight to shine through.
Whereas a Resistive panel will block abut 25%. Also, the Resistive touch screen is very cloudy, and that is why your ceiling light was murky in that one, and easily identifiable in the SAW reflection.

To be honest, it really is difficult to take 4 different monitors from 4 different price ranges and try to compare them.

I can see comparing the element and the 669, but the SAW is in a league of it's own. If it weren't for the extra bulk, they would sell like hotcakes.

FYI: adding a Capacitive touch screen to the Mini, 669hb or the element will make them as clear and bright as the SAW unit.

All good points indeed. But the SAW may be a Cadillac, but only if you mean a Fleetwood Brougham. I was kind of expecting a rotary knob to change channels...and the little ring to push and adjust sync...LOL
