In response to the Fues thing. Per the last video on power (maybe we have posted these slightly out of order) We have 2 main fuses for both wires about a foot away from the battery before the wires fall to the visible scene.
In response to the grommet that is up there already.
there was no easy way on the OTHER side of that grommet to get to the wires. I would have had to take off the steering column to even see it on the other side. We looked online for people who had modded this car before and found most users did this wheel well solution, because the effort required to use the existing grommet would have ridiculous.
In response to "we should have used a grommet"
Yea, your right, we should have. So, READERS!! USE A GROMMET WHEN PUTTING WIRES THROUGH YOUR CAR!
Thanks guys!
p.s. My hair was cut, but it is currently long again.

why run two wire for power? why not just run a single 4 gage and use a distribution block?

because the amp should have its own power line. The other power line will already be split in the trunk to all those accessories. From what I read, for the best, uninterrupted sound, you should have a dedicated power line for your amp. I'm sure a more technical reason will show up here in a few days.
