Looking at the end of the video I was looking at Sean's setup inside his trunk. I noticed of course, he ran the 2 8 gauge wires from the battery all the way to the trunk. My question is, when using the quick release cable that give power to the computer and regulated power to the monitor, how can you put together the pre-slimmed wire cable on the quick release cable onto a gat 8 gauge? Are you suppose to solder them together or something, or am I missing a big picture?

soldering, crimping, or using a reducer are usually the preferred methods.

Usually there are several different gromets you can use in most cars in different locations. I have to say as far as running power through a car that may be close to the ugliest thing I've seen through the fender! lol Although Iv'e seen people run it on the outside of their car as well and that was pretty bad. Alas I have no experience with that particular car though. I would be surprised if that was the only gromet though, my brother in laws HHR had several blank gromets that I was able to use lol.

@Hdale, I was going for ease as well as function. Plus, it's all internal, not something anyone will see. It would have added hours of work to get to that grommet where I could use it. If you look up installs for that vehicle, you will find a lot of them are drilling like we did. Its definitely different from car to car.

Yeah I understand that's why I said I have no experience with that particular car. I just would of had a hard time doing that on my own car lol.
