I am getting in this afternoon to vegas. If anyone else if there and wants to meet up for some food let me know!
I'd like to see some forme of wireless (BT) remote for Android, to add hardware buttons and other controls. I'd like to see an ultrabook (no heavier than 2 pounds) with a multitouch screen for my personal use - I had a plan to use the Transformer Prime for that, but there's a lot of design issues with it (No GPS, weak wifi, weaker wifi+BT (due to the aluminum back), SD card that sticks too much out in the back (easy to lose).
I believe I remember seeing a BT remote for external control of android. I will try and remember where it was. All the Ultrabooks I saw were around 3 pounds. I believe even the Samsung ultrabook was 2.9 or so. you could always go with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it has a keyboard dock also. But it doesnt have a SD slot
I think 3Lbs is fine, if the battery lasts. I likes the Asus UX something. But there's no touchscreen.
A wireless remote for Android? Please come back to me if you find it.
Well, I'm not sure the show is over exactly (it runs througfh Friday), but I do agree that a lot of things that are done (or at least talked about) on the forums have shown up at the show. My take on what the next big automotive trend will be? HUDs. I saw at least a 1/2 dozen demos at the show that featured automotive HUDs in one form or another. After that, fully-configurable dash clusters. Visteon is already making them for Jaguar and Land Rover, and Delphi will launch one in the 2013 Cadillac CTX. The Delphi board is easily "skinnable' to allow the end user to select guage configurations (sport, cruise, basic etc) and even color schemes.
Think glass cockpit, where every thing is the car can be configured to suit the consumers preference, and updated as new features become available. 2-3 years out I'd say.

At some point, we will have hard drives in cars that will store large amounts of data...I would like to see the ability to take a hard drive with all my copied DVD's and connect it to my in-car DVD player and have the ability to select from the list of movies on the hard drive and the DVD player would play the selected movie!
Think if you could insert a USB drive (64 gig) into a USB port and have access to 30 movies at anytime... this would be great... and safer than trying to find the dvd case, take out the old one, load it a new one, etc.
