Working on it. The touchscreen fix didn't work for me, but i'm working with the people to try to get it solved before building the image. Hope to have it tonight.

FYI the "help" thread is here

SPORTS JUNKIES ON 106.7 THE FAN? They are the main reason I had to keep FM radio in my build haha. Any plans on adding true FM or are you content with streaming it via tunein?

It appears the battery life is heavily effected by the ambient temperatures. Inside, the battery lasts for several days under a charge with no power usage mitigation. In the summer heat inside the vehicle, the battery barely manages to last 10 hours. Also, at 1.5A input maximum, it takes close to a full day to charge the battery, meaning my car will never truly charge the battery properly. The Anker portion of the project will be scraped for now.
I'm surprised to hear that the heat affected the life of the battery back so dramatically. I believe Lithium Ion batteries, such as those used by your battery pack, can be affected by heat in this way. I suppose it is good that you are conducting the trial during the summer so you realized the problem quickly.

The lead-acid type of your Kinetik HC600 battery surely is not affected by heat as a lithium ion battery would be. I like the idea of the ODRIOD being "always on". I wonder if the draw is low enough that it could simply be powered by the vehicle's factory battery even when the car is off? If not a second small lead-acid style battery wouldn't be too bad.

Haha yes, that's basically the only radio station I listen to locally! Initially I wanted to get the HD Radio hooked up, but honestly.. tunein gets me a LOT more stations and I don't have to worry about static, a problem I've always had in my RSX due to the crappy powered antenna. I've been monitoring my data usage and I'm not even scratching the surface of my 10GB plan, it makes sense to just keep on streaming.

As a testament to the ODROID install, I officially started yanking Windows PC hardware out of the car. Between USB extensions, audio cable extensions, and power wiring, I pulled out about a good mile of cabling from the car lol. As for hardware I've removed, there's the HD Radio, XM radio (replaced via the streaming app as well), TPMS (which I plan to reinstall once I replace my worn out sensors), Thumb keyboard (Android OSK and voice command makes it obsolete), Apple Bluetooth Keyboard (ditto), and the Andrea microphone adapter. The actual Windows computer is still installed, but it's going to get snatched out soon. I just cant see myself going back to using a Windows based PC. For all of the hurdles that have been overcome over the years, its still far too inefficient and unstable when comparing to the ODROID install.

I honestly wouldn't depend on ANY factory battery to leave a 5v device always on. Even if the device were the survive between charges the damage done to the battery over time would add up to the point to leave you stranded. Last night was the first night I had the ODROID continuously powered by the auxiliary battery overnight, and while it survived, the voltage on the HC600 went from low 10v to low 7v. Obviously this battery needs to be replaced, but it was still enough to keep the X2, Mifi, and USB Hub going.

    Hi,
    @Sonicxtacy02
Have you managed to zip the image?
If it possible, could you zip your own because it seams to be working on your videos?
I could test it that way.
As I can see it would be enough for my build
don't bother with your apps, I will be using different ones.

By the way, why don't you use a 220 to 12V adapter?

Thank you (I know I'm asking very much)

If you have intergrated GPS in the device, you can use the GPS signal to grab the time. But that would be in the NMEA protocol...

    Hello to all
I tried once again to build this kernel but I have an error near the end.
When I try to copy the modules to Odroid I get the error
    find: "./.cache/dconf": permission denied
    find: "./.config/enchant": permission denied

    Any help?

    Thank you

    EDIT

I tried once again and it apears that there are errors in the lines that I added
