But it was the next business day before close of day. Not what we expect for a software download, but not all software downloads are instant.
Consider if you will, if you had ordered it today, and had the key by end of business day tomorrow. Which is really the equivelant of your situation only Friday to Monday instead of Monday to Tuesday.
I am racking my brain to try and remember if it was any faster from Palmer Performance, and honestly I don't know that it was.
Make sure you check out the Orange version of the default Dash Command skin that I edited and posted here on the DashXL.net website or here in the mp3car app store. It was a better match for my dash than the standard white, otherwise exactly the same as the default skin.
I guess maybe I over reacted. I have just never had to wait a weekend over for a purchased license key. Thanks.for.the heads up about the orange! I was fidling with the.editor last night trying to change the white characters to orange!
Thanks for posting this on our forums. I do agree that it seems disappointing to place your order on Friday and not receive your software until Monday. Unfortunately, CC orders have to be finalized by our order processing staff to avoid instances of fraud. Companies such as Walmart, Newegg, etc. have much more expensive CC verification technologies to help them avoid fraud. Additionally, CC companies are much more likely to side in favor of Walmart or Newegg during instances of customers issuing chargebacks. In our case, we have to be much more careful and have to do it the old fashion way (look at the CVV2, billing address, etc.). I'm glad you did receive your software today and I'll be updating all of our software product pages to include information disclosing that it can take up to 1 business day for processing to receive your registration information.
Would you mind confirming if you ever did hear back from our customer support? If you didn't, I need to troubleshoot this and see where the communication breach happened.
As always, we guarantee a response to customer email inquiries within 1 business day (2 for advanced tech support questions) and we strive to provide the best online customer experience we can. I'm sorry it hasn't been perfect for you.
Why shop at a smaller mom and pop place? Because we strive to provide the gateway for new product innovation through our forums, store, & blog (i.e. showcase your new and innovative hardware & software, helping you gain publicity and gain recognition).
While I understand and appreciate the response, no I did not receive an email yet. I realize the weekend split the business week up, but you are the first response. Maybe a disclaimer about online downloads of software is order to make folks aware that it needs to be processed as if it were physical hardware.
Hi again Dougw133,
I've sent you a PM about this.
Update: All store software products that require order processing before customers can download have been updated to disclose this information on the main product page.
Thanks for the heads up on this, Dougw133.
