ya, switch to full would be good, when I tested it on the Laptop, i switched to the mobile skin, and had to clear out cookies to get it back to normal.
    will be patiently waiting...

woh, I just noticed this, & only cause I reflashed my phone & happened to go to mp3car on it before I tweaked it to emulate ie5, cool...

it would be great if this was a bit more geared to smartphones/pda's, I mean I hope there aren't too many browsing on 1.8" screens anymore this is a nice enhancement, don't know how many visit on there phones but I do once in a while

the mobile version of the MP3car site is great, but there are times when the full version is desirable (on devices like smartphones that can handle the full version).

I figured it would be as simple as changing the version in the [drop down menu] list at the bottom of the page, but that doesn't do anything (it just reloads the mobile version regardless of which version you choose). I thought it may have just been a setting somewhere that I had missed, but after searching the forums I came across this thread. (this thread was the only search result with MP3car.com + mobile in the thread title). it has been over a year since this thread was posted in, so I am curious if anything has changed since then that would allow a WM5/PIE user to disable the automatic version selection?

I am aware that you can hack the registry to have PIE identify itself as a desktop IE, but I don't want it to identify itself to every website as a desktop PC. I also use Opera Mobile. there is a menu setting to select whether or not to identify itself as a desktop PC for viewing full website versions. Opera Mobile is a nice browser, but it is very slow on my Treo 700wx.

so am I just missing something simple? or is there simply no way to view the full ("standard") MP3car.com version on PIE without hacking the registry (which effects all sites)?

I am using Opera Mobile set to "appear as a computer" on my WM6 Smartphone. I think mp3car actually looks better this way rather than the "appear as a mobile device" setting. mp3car is very hard to navigate on PIE. Maybe check out Opera mini or Skyfire, as those browsers may work faster if you have a slow connection.

    OK lets try this:

    1. Visit this link http://www.useragentstring.com/ with your smartphone.

    2. Copy the contents in the field "Your User Agent String:" in this thread

I'll see if I can enable your phone model to bypass the mobile style rules which should let you pick your own skin. Not sure if it will work, but it's worth a try.

The mobile skin is forced on phones but we'll see what we can do.

ok, the contents of the "your user agent string" on my 700wx is:
    Code:
    Mozilla/4.0
    (compatible; MSIE
    4.01; Windows CE;
    PPC; 240x320)

    no, it didn't work

when you choose a different skin, it just reloads the page. it still loads the mobile version regardless of which skin is chosen...
