mobile version of mp3car.com suggestions

I'm posting this from my treo. The mobile version of the page is great, easy to navigate, loads quickly (even on a non-broadband cell phone) and overall is a good proxy to the normal version. I would like to see a 'subscribed threads' link near the home page link. This would make it just that much easier to be able to quickly view my threads and easily access the page to reply to them. Other than that the mobile version of the website is awesome.

"My Threads" would contain all "My Thread" Parts of course.

But the mobile version is nice and I think this would be useful to have. I use PIE to browse the mobile site, and I can have it block all images, but perhaps an option that actually stores in a cookie on the phone so that it parses the messages so no images show except smileys and the submit buttons. I find myself just using the regular version more often because I can just block the image, then it loads just as fast with all the features. Only problem being since the submit and new post buttons are images, you have to find that text to use it instead of a big ol image. Just a thought maybe.

The developer has agreed that it would be a good idea. But it's not going to happen over night.

2k1toaster...what are you suggesting exactly?

the new mobile style doesn't have any images at all...

maybe I'm all confused...

Well I know the mobile version has absolutely no images. But sometimes because of the lack of total control as is available with the full version, I switch to the full version. Then all the images show up.

So I uncheck the "Show Images" in PIE's menu, and then nothing shows up which is good like the mobile version, except the submit buttons go away. It is not really a big deal, and I can live with it. I may be switching out of gprs anyways to a faster service so it is probably moot.

Nevermind then. THe more I think about it the less usefull I think it might be...

More reason I love this website. I'm not talking to walls! I ask a request and it is actually heard and attempted!

I think 2k1 was talking about a semi-mobile version, less images, but not all stripped as in the mobile version, so you can still see resized pics, etc. That would be nice, but much harder to implement.
