This should be an example to the rest of you, if you don't have anything nice or helpful to say, don't say anything! :peace:

I have to agree with you on this one 100%! There is a lot of information on the site, and sometimes its just simply pointing someone new to the forums, in the direction on what to search for, a link to get someone started is all that is needed.
We were ALL new to the forums at one point. Luckily, we have stuck around, and now are able to help some of the new guys coming in. This hobby is in it's prime right now, with hardware miniaturization, endless touchscreen options, and costs far lower than just a couple years ago. We are going to see more and more new users here in the future.
DarquePervert, here is the first post and thread that you started in the forums a couple of years ago:
In that thread, the first response to your question, was from a first time poster, so it could not really have been a difficult question to find the answer to. The key is, that someone took the time to answer your question, instead of just posting "Search" "Read the FAQ!"............
Personally, I can find the answer to each and every one of those questions by simply searching the forums, and the Internet in general, as a couple of them are not CarPC specific. Looking back at my first posts, I could do the same thing with some of my questions I posted as well! The point being, is that we were all new to the forums at one time, and most of us have certainly posted some questions, that would appear to be stupid, for someone that has been around for a while.
All I meant when I started the free-for-all thread, was just to cut the new users a little bit of slack is all. If it seems like a really stupid question, then ignore it, and move on. There should be nothing that compels us to just pop into a thread to type "Search" and go on to the next thread.
