Similar problems here, ordered a G4 so over a 2K item, store said it was in stock, also called them and confirmed they were in stock, placed the order, waited 3 days while it said in processing, called again to see what the holdup is, was told it would go out the next day. then got an e-mail saying they were out of stock and will be a few weeks. Stil no response to my last e-mail.

This is waht happens when they try to make mp3car a business.

They want more than just mantaining the forums up...Not even group buts are alowed.

This forum as been the greatest source of information and its because of mp3car that i have a carpc right now, but i miss some of the original spirit.

If you need something fast, it is $3 more and if they dont get it out that day (and you order before the cutoff time) you get your $2.99 credited back.
    The already have that:

To be honest, I was surprised to see that option when I ordered last week, and I'm really not a big fan of that type of service.

Not to rub salt in any wounds, but I ordered from the mp3car store on Tuesday and had the items on Friday via USPS from MD to NY, no EXP code. So far I have had good experiences ordering from the store (twice), and using USPS for shipping as they seem to provide fast service to my neck of the woods.

As far as your situation is concerned, pyros, I agree that such a long wait is unacceptable for express shipping. Like 2k1toaster suggested, if you have a tracking number, see where it is.. it very well could be a customs holdup at this point. As far as taking three days to process the order: if the customer is paying for express shipping, I think that price should most certainly include express processing.

I hope that in the end the store is able to provide you with a satisfying resolution. Good luck!

LOL i selected this, didnt help at all.

I disagree that you cant turn a forum into a company, but like a company you NEED to address customer service, especially when you are basically getting orders from fans of the forum and NOT lie to them as to the stock status

I take it you mean group buys? There is a reason why group buys aren't allowed. There have been buys in the past where people have ripped off others. It happened on more than one occasion. The members that were duped then tried to blame mp3car.com or at least make the forums get their money back or give the details of the person that organised the group buy. It was not the forums responsibility. This is why group buys were stopped. It was done to protect the members and mp3car.com.

    Group Buts...lol Gretest typo ever

I participated in 2 group buys and never had problems, and if the member that its organizing the group buy as good reputation i dont see why not to trust.

Before comiting to buy i always asked details from the member that was organizing, and of course the forums should never be blamed.

There many ways the avoid scams.

True. Not all people are as through as you. For all concerned, it was easier just to stop group buys all together.

I guess it all just depends on the situation..... I ordered a few things from MP3car, and I had accidently ordered the wrong thing, I called them up, the guy was very nice and took car of the issue. My account was immediately adjusted and the correct item was shipped out. I mean especially now, you have to assume that Mp3Car is becoming very popular, more and more people want to install PCs in thier cars. With any rapidly growing company there will be errors, and mistakes, as with any large company..... I have had so many issues with Ebay and some of its sellers, but i simply call and fix the issue. All it takes in the end is communication, and if you cant get it fixed using one way (email), there is always another. Be thankful that Mp3Car actually has live representatives and not some stupid computer that you have to scream at to get her to understand you, or some person from India were you have to have a translator with you.

I have order a few things from MP3car and never had a problem getting them. But when it came to returning things, all bets off. I ordered a DSXv12d from them about 1 yr ago and it only worked for about a week. I returned it after getting the RMA number and they said they would replace it. After they recieved it they said I damaged it, not sure how I did that. Like it said it worked for 1 week then died.
Anyway, since they were not going to replace it I wanted it back to see if I could repair it. They never responded after they refused to replace it. SO I lost out on about $90 with nothing to show for it, not even a bad PSU. That was the last time I ordered from them.
I know back when Brian Goodman ran the store (back in the day by himself) this would have never happened. He use to send people stuff for free (bumper stickers, mp3car stuff). I guess being a commerical business now kind of took priority over customer and fan service. Oh well, lesson learned and filed. I may once again try to order something from them, but rest assured it wont be anything too expensive.

Not to add to the situation but one of my biggest pet peeves is a retailer/company that won't return phone calls, emails, etc... It makes one want to go postal.
