    Car Meet forum?

Thoughts? I've just seen the nj meet before, the mn meet, and the texas meet (which got a sticky and i would think the other ones should have too, if you are going to give it to one give it to all) and just thought that maybe an area just for meets would be nice. It'd stay small but we'd have all of the past ones right there in a single spot to go back to when we do another meet.

To get your meet thread stuck you need to PM a mod or admin

awhile ago i suggested having a section broken into area of the u.s. so we can find other members in our areas. an example of this is at http://www.mx6.com.
    thanks,

I've also seen this at the RX7 Forum I'll ask the other admins and see what we can come up with

Heh, with the small nature of the board, I think we could get away with a forum for meets .

I don't really think there is significant demand for a regional and/or meet forum.. it all goes down as general discussion.. if you start breaking it down you'll have 10 new forums with 10 posts/year

I dont' think we need regional, just a meet your neighbors style forum where you can start a thread for an upcoming meet, this way it's right in front, and will be for awhile for ease of planning future repeat meets. I mean the mn meet is down in the list now on general discussion, this way it stays at the top and easy to find.

    names:

    Meet Your Neighbors (dorky, hehe)

I haven't seen them used here, but if we're concerned about cluttering the layout of the "high use" forums, why not make it a subforum of general discussion. I wouldn't expect it to get the traffic that the other parts of the board get, but i think its viable in the sense of grouping them all together.
