That's normal for vBulletin. I'm going to see if there's an option to allow individual users to adjust their own settings in this regards.
It seams to me that if I am browsing a particular forum, after some time passes (maybe 10 minutes?) it seams like the software is automatically marking ALL forums read. I've never been on another forum that does this, so is it just me or is something happening?
An example workflow would be the following:
- I enter the main display page, and forums "Newbie, LCD/Display, GPS, and Fabrication" indicate that there are unread messages.
- I go into "Newbie", and start reading and replying to topics. I spent maybe 1 minute
- I return back to the main display page, and it still shows all 4 forums having unread messages. I mark "Newbie" as all read, and so only the latter 3 indicate new messages.
- I go into LCD/Display forum, and start reading threads. I spent maybe about 15 minutes in there.
- I return back to the main display page, and this time ALL forums seam to have been marked as read. However, "GPS and Fabrication" should still indicate that there is new messages to read.
Does this happen to anyone else, or is my computer possessed [again]?

Please post on the forums! Chances are, someone else has or will have the same questions as you!
That would be great... It's a little frustrating when going through posts when I havn't visited for a couple days, and everything gets marked read before getting there =).
It might just be me, but it looks like the "timeout" setting referenced has been changed. I've been able to browse for quite some time and not have the forums auto-marked read.
Thanks!
