    That comes from cookies on a computer being linked to "http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/" which aren't transferable to "http://mp3car.com/vbulletin/". It's not really changeable in any way, unfortunately.

    That's not a bad thing. The way it is, I don't get that hideous black banner.

    That's exactly correct, however if you login at mp3car.com/vbulletin and get a cookie set against that url, you are good to go

    ^Actually, if I login to "mp3car.com/vbulletin" I get a "thank you for login in, nobb", then it goes back to same page as if I were not logged on. I am using the newest Firefox, but this happens on IE as well.

    Yeah, that also happens in safari. It's due to the fact that vBulletin isn't setup to allow cookies on your computer for http://mp3car.com/vbulletin/ to work for www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/ so it won't work in that fashion.
