Id add Infra Red and possibly touchscreens?

Hey folks, can we, and how can we, get a forum devoted to input devices... I mean, these are as much an issue as GPS.. I think it would be great to have a forum where we can stay focused on the various input devices that integrate well with cars. Who wants a $800 computer system, which is a pain to actually use?
Im thinking we could really focus on all input devices,
(like, for example
- Voice recognition
- Mini keypads
- on wheel and on dash mini usb input devices
- programmable keypads.
- Infra Red
- Touchscreens (that might go in lcd too)

Interesting. What do more people think?
I'm game for something like this...you have my vote.
sounds good to me..
An easier way to find keyboard hacks, IR, touchscreen etc..
It would be very helpful, and I think it has a logical, and important place.

mp3car system is currently FUBAR and finances do not allow for a correction of that situation
Real computer hackers use a rotary cutting tool on their motherboard.
Awesome... so, what is required to do this? Who would one talk to about that?

Great! One of the reasons I think it would be great to have a input device forum, is I see no simple answer to my input device problem....
Not on any way to downplay the complication of lcds / gps/ mobo / psu. But on those items I kind of atleast know where I should start (what I can afford, and were I should go to:
clip-on-5.6"/McNally serial GPS&copilot/standard-mobo/Opus --->
7" fold out/McNally serial GPS&copilot/ITX/Opus
The only difference between our most basic computer based gps/mp3/etc systems and the most expensive professional standalone systems, is that our user interface is not designed for car use.
I have have been looking hard for a good off-the-shelf input devices, something that really lends itself to input from a car, but have not found anything.
