agree with the post, the faqs/wiki are a great place to start, you only need to send a clear message to the n00b community (Im 50% included).
You only need something that a n00b can understand, maybe a big:
    Attached Images Attached Images
    REQUIRED HARDWARE [50%]
    CARPUTER INSTALLATION [0%]
    LCD IN DASH FRABRICATION [??%]

    Additional mods:
    KNIGHT RIDER LED MOD:[99%]
    Worklog Album

Just a few ideas for you all to chew upon

Number 1, the problem is that most people don't RTFM. If they do, they probably are like me, skim through the dam thing and try to figure out by them self anyway

Number 2, most of the information is a bit dated (does anybody use an Opus still???) or over their/my head. Therefore, going to the forums and getting friendly "read the faq" response. True they/I should have but rule number 1 applies.

Number 3, even IF they/I were smart enough, getting to the right place is a bit difficult.
    ie:
User CP <--> Classifieds <--> Downloads <--> Forum Rules <--> Wiki <--> Projects <--> Blogs <--> Old Wiki <--> Meets Map <--> Adv. FAQ <--> Member Menu <--> New Posts <--> New Posts: Live <--> Search <--> vBGarage <--> Log Out

So with that menu, why bother ??? It's easier to follow rule number 1 and go to the forums.

I have no idea how vB is setup here so it's sort of hard to make suggestions, but ...
    * menus need some house keeping
    * top logo menu and vB should be organized a bit better
    * FAQ and Wiki need to be combined
    * put more items into the user CP (include the forum rules there)
    * while we're house keeping, delete all the classifieds and start fresh until appmart starts up
    * figure out what to do with those other areas that seem to be empty
    * A dictionary type page that introduces some basic electronics. capacitor this and capacitor that ... lolo I still have no clue what have the stuff being talked about is

I like the name carpc 101 since it signifies an area where to find out information to get started. If it's like a wiki or blog then videos and links can be added/adjusted when needed. Bugbyte has a pretty good introductory video on youtube (errr, well that's where I found it first at least) but more of these could be put together or linked to making it that much more easier.

If TFM is buried in the menu structure, there is even less probability that anyone can R it, assuming they wanted to in the first place.

It is, and it is not. Lots of people use Opus products still. They were the gold standard for automotive PSUs at one time, and their products are still quality units.

    My point, exactly.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

You want simple... get rid of downloads, blogs, projects, old wiki, new posts and vbGarage. Even forum rules should be a sticky not a menu.

Then FAQ should get its own place along the top in big red letters. Even classified should be a forum not a top menu.

Maybe get Optikal to code up a pop-over that goes away after so many posts...
