Please remove this crap from the forum code and fix the compromised server. There really is no reason this should have happened twice
Dude, This is the about the 3rd time in about 10 years we have had this level of intrusion, including last week. We don't have a fortune 500 budget to hire a team of 31337 security gurus. Given the above, I don't think we are doing that bad.

We have some temporary fixes in place and are working on a permanent solution. Please keep us posted if you see any problems.

If something gets really nasty you can mention us on twitter @mp3car. We follow that regularly as well.

Are there any feasible alternatives to vBulletin? Something that doesn't have so many exploits? Just wondering.

Will do... I also submitted abuse reports to the websites hosting the malware, turns out its the same user on all of them and his entire IP range has now been banned so hopefully this should at least slow down future attempts.

I find PHPBB3 to be more secure, it's what I use on all my forums. It's open source which means people can find exploits easier but more importantly it means they're fixed faster. It's also free and vBulletin is not.

Whenever there's a chance, one of the MP3Car.com staff should contact Norton and have the site re-evaluated since the malicious code is gone now. WOT(Web of Trust) and SiteAdvisor either didn't pick up on it, or have fixed it already, they are green-lit. Norton still shows red, however.
