Not sure how you can like IE. I get IE9, its much better, much more improved. But the other IEs, thats just asking for a slow experience. I'm probably just an impatient person and don't like to wait for anything. SSDs made me this way.

Thats exactly what it seems like. Like something is trying to run in the background and IE is blocking it.

IE 8 is actually fast on my system, its similar to FF. I guess it varies from system to system, just like Car PC units, lol. Mind you IE 9 is much faster. Also, its doing the same thing on FF. I see that the page is refreshing, but there is no alert bar and sounds like IE.

what changed on the forum in the last day?

i am now getting redirect pages while posting(it thanks me for posting) in half the sections(didn't do it in the blog section, or the first 1-2 posts)--very annoying, i use the back button to go back to the new posts search, and have to sift through 3 pages instead of 2, and i also get a redirect while searching for new posts("the forum will display your search soon" or something like that). also, the forum is attempting to double-post many of the times i post now--i get the error that "the forum requires you to wait 30 seconds between posts. so far, i've made something like 5-6 posts today, and it's happened at least 3 times..

and i only click once on the 'post reply' button, unless it 404's....

edit: while posting this, the forum tried double posting again....

Yep, I have noticed it also needs to clicks to edit or quote a post.

I suspect someones been playing.

I thought it was just me! I am having the same issue that soundman98 is having, now that I am using FireFox so I wasnt annoyed with the different set of issues I was getting with IE8. Now though, this stuff is starting.

i thought i was just missing the button while clicking it... though i verified it while quoting your message...

double edit-- 4 more posts since my last post in this thread, and the forum tried double posting every single one, and probably this one too...

edit-- it didn't do it for this one, but i suspect that was because it was posted through the advanced mode. instead, i got the "thanks for posting, you are now getting redirected to your post" redirect page....

is it too late to go back to the old forum software?!?

Also when you do a multi-quote and then later try to do a reply with quote, it will load previos posts that you multi-posted, plus the one your trying to replay to.
