Problems with new Forum? Post Here!

With my original account (this one), I can't change my password. There is no section that asks for my current password, so when I enter my new password I get this error:

The password you have entered does not match your current one. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

However, on my new account (kegobeer2), I see the section that asks for my current password so I'm able to change my password.

I really don't care about who's the top posters (ever) - I figure some are dead by now? Maybe not even the top posters of the week. I'd like to see back the most viewd/fastest growing threads for the last several days.

I tried the vb3 color scheme. Still not quite right.

I'm still struggling with the search function. Can't find things as easily as before. Tried Adam (the tablet), DG45FC, Pixel Qi and in the first page no thread was relevant, and I had more than 5 pages to "search". Top results are usually from 2006...It would be nice to order results by date or by thread subject, etc. EDIT: Doh, I can choose what I want to display from a drop down menu. But the threads/posts that appear are odd (hottest thread: "my thread"?) ...maybe it takes time to build or it's counting since day 0?

I never needed to use advanced search for the above. Not even with advanced search set to look for entire posts I can find the thread on the DG45FC (intel mini itx boards).

Take your time I can browse and find the stuff, I'm just letting you know. (btw, thanks for fixing the problem I mentioned above)

The search does seem to be messed up. Using RipplingHurst's example of DG45FC, I found plenty of threads when searching titles only (advanced search) - but when I chose entire posts I got only a few results and they didn't seem to be really related to the DG45FC.

what if i train it better? Like now the word about and forums arent linked. Idk if it becomes super annoying i can kill it. Or i can work on making it user configurable. Maybe it isn't too hard to figure that out.

But for now - ive made it a bit smarter. again, if it sucks too much ill kill it.

sorry for the delayed reply... this does seem to be better. Time will till of course anytime you start with something fresh.


I just had to laugh when i had to agree to the forum posting rules...LOL Which I did not have to do on any of the quick posts that i have done on the new forum, but just now when i did a reply to a post. Small issue, but I thought I would just also point that out...

I'm looking for what plugin gave us that ability. So far no luck, maybe it was some random hack :/

Looks like non image attachments have disappeared.

*edit, no it's all old attachments, just checked some of my threads which had images in, they have gone as well.

Can you give me some links?
I check that google earth plugin post and there are no images attached to it. Not even in the old database.
Maybe we had a 2nd attachment system...

Yes, I can confirm that I can see the messages left by the user giving/taking of the rep point(s).

I clicked my user name at the top of the page, then clicked 'Forum Actions' link on action bar, General Settings then finally the Settings top left next to the little house. All of which takes you to the http://www.mp3car.com/usercp.php page, scrolling down to the bottom of the page, and yep, there they be!

On a side note, before there was a quicker way to get to this User CP via the action bar on the old forum, but now?
