As a newb to this forum, I am somewhat reluctant to post. My observations are not as valid and may not even be correct in some cases however I have been lucky so far that what I have posted has been followed up and verified by mods.

Anyway what I have noticed the last couple of days is external links to pages in the forum are failing to connect to the intended page.

I don't recall this happening last week, but could be mistaken. My thought is the URL's are now different, and I have even noticed that this version appears to be mangling:
eg. External Link from another website.
    http://mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthre...highlight=h701
    is altered here to.
    http://www.mp3car.com/?t=63189&highlight=h701
    which produces the home page:
http://www.mp3car.com/ with the above mangled URL.

Perhaps there is an option to use the same URL's to preserve all the external links, and also in the event that the URL is invalid in place of the home page a page should be displayed that includes portions of the URL to help search for what was intended.

Admin control panel link not working

The admin control panel link at the lower right of the page does not work. It redirects to the home page. The link itself is correct if you look at the URL but it redirects somehow.

[Edit: Nevermind. It appears that you have to accept the rules before you can get the link. Tried it again and it works now.]

Only thing I have noticed that I don't see mentioned is youtube embedding. I am guessing the embed format changed.

    Question TapaTalk Integration

    Sean,

I understand the need to get the forum working correctly before moving on to nice-to-haves, but when time permits, will you be able to add TapaTalk integration again? Following the forums on my iPhone is crucial for me, and Safari doesn't do a great job of rendering the new forum.

Btw, though this is my first post, I've spent a LOT of time following the forums the last 6+ months and I like the new layout (mostly)

    Thanks,
    Chris

chris tapatalk works. Im using it now. Just reload what you got - you might need to remove your account on your phone and re add mp3car. But it def. works.

Video, including youtube, is built into the new "Video" button for vbulletin 4.

Hey! don't be worried about posting its all good. Yes the vbulletin is now gone from the URL. but if the URL is correct it won't matter. The issue with that first URL is the absent "www".

if you go to Who here tunes their car audio? Software for Time Alignment, EQ, Crossovers?
    it works fine.

Ill try to make an exception for non www links to be redirected correctly as they should anway.

A suggestion on facebook connection.... get rid of it. If you have time for facebook, you should be out in your car enjoying your carpc. If it is not installed, you have no excuse!
Facebook and social network integration is a big deal to a lot of people. You may not like it, and maybe in the future it can be configurable per user, but social networking is the 2011 way of sharing information to the people you know.

Sorry, How can following the forum on the phone be crucial?

It may have some importance in your life, but crucial? I doubt it.

And this comes from someone who has been here 7+ years and as long as he is awake has a PC on somewhere logged onto the forum. But when I am not at a PC and only have a phone, I'm not going to worry about it until I have to.

This is either a misuse of the word crucial or you need to get a life.

Are the rss feeds for each section gone? I can't seem to find the links now.
