    Disable auto links?

How do I turn off the automatic links that are made out of some keywords like "video", etc... in posts that I am reading?

I had a look in the user cp but I don't see any option to turn them off.

    Thanks.

    You can't.

Frankly, I find them annoying as snot, too.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

The MP3car.com guys are starting to come off a little like the Centrafuse guys.

The wiki sucks anyway and now it made a wiki link out of the MP3Car text.

And if this post auto-merges with my last I will be really f ucking p issed.

The auto links are worse than useless, they highlight apparently random words and link to subjects that have no correlation to the topic being discussed. As an example, I am testing the functionality now. Testing is linked to something totally unrelated.

Sometimes people turn words into links when they're linking to outside sites.

It is now harder to differentiate between a wiki link and a link that poster created.

I still maintain that while I don't want to see those links in other people's posts, I also don't want my posts auto-edited to include links. As the author of my own posts, I don't want them edited.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it has to do with funding for the website and is one of the reasons this site remains free to it's users... sadly, this means any financial benefit from these autolinks would be gone if this was turned off and could affect the website itself

They link internally to the mp3car wiki, they're not advertisement links.
