Old topic bit it seems to remain valid.

I can confirm that the method in post #17 works. I saved the file to an .htm extension and simply double clicked after editing. Password was successfully changed.

As soon as I'm back to the office I'll take you off Facebook login, which will allow your password fields to show up.

The hack in post #17 didn't work for me. After I filled in the fields and clicked "Save Changes" button, browser tried to open a page with URL:

file:///{directory where I saved edited file on my PC}/profile.php?do=updatepassword

(which wasn't there, of course). Using Firefox 31.0. I've spent about as much time on this as I care to now.

What about people like me who don't have (and don't want) FB?

Sorry for any confusion. If you dont wanna deal with FB anymore and you want your account converted back, please PM me.
    Sending PM.

Do you really want everyone to have to PM you for this? There should be a more automatic way for a user to make that change.

Incidentally, it took me awhile to even find the PW change page (Forum Actions >> General Settings >> Edit Email & Password). On most other VB forums I frequent, the 'user control panel' link is a bit easier to find, and often linked from multiple places.
