Java Based Chat Room ?

Sort of prompted by this ( instant messages ) - I know its close how ever no one was looking at the exisiting thred so I thought I would start some thing better titled....

what do you think about the option to have an instant messages?
I found it very useful on the other forums ... ex. vwvortex.com
the window pops out like the chat window and you can talk with the person by sending instant messages.

Actually I'm thinking more a java chat room the same as the media engine one ? That would have many uses ?

the one media engine uses drops your right into #mp3car on EFnet where a lot of the posters chat anyway
