Methinks ccblanket is referring to a test folder a la the the software and software development forum. Or maybe not.

bgoodman, maybe you're right. but I wonder who would want to see just junk/test threads popping between threads with actual contents.

frodo, that's an option, yet it's not the same thing.

What kind of testing do you plan on doing? Looks like you've figured out how to post. Honestly, I'd be very surprised if anyone else feels a need for this - it's not that hard an activity.

Honestly, there's no big need for it. I was just trying to figure out how (not?) to display images in the sig & or under username. Since it's pretty much standard to have a test forum for testing junk messages, I happened to look for one. Otherwise you're absolutely correct; not a big thing to do, and I guess I figured out how to post

Are people REALLY so bereft of thread ideas that they need to post TEST messages? C'mon! Just post a real message and se if the thing you changed looks ok. If you make one post with a broken link or misshapen avatar, it's not going to hurt you, and it's not like everyone is waiting with baited breath for the next golden words of perfectly shaped wisdom to drip from your typing fingers.
